Having issues with our products?

First of all, be calm, maintain a "Positive Maker Attitude". Then follow these steps, which are the most common but very normal mistakes that everyone makes including ourselves.


  1. Have you actually turned on your mBot with the cable plugged in?

  2. Have the batteries gone flat?

  3. Have you established a connection?

  4. Check your program again, have you set up the right port address?

Returning faulty products?

Please follow the following steps for all product returns. 


  1.  Email SMINKS LABS at with subject "RMA number please" for RMA Number. 



  • All products being returned must have an RMA number issued. 

  • Returns without an RMA number are considered unauthorized and the SMINKS LABS are not liable for product.

  • Please note that an RMA number does not guarantee final disposition.


  2.  Download and fill in the Return Merchandise Form with the RMA number and your details.


  3.  Ship the products along with a completed Return Merchandise Form to the following address:

  • Package items carefully to prevent shipping damage. Original packaging is not required.

  • RMA number must be on the Shipper Label or Packing List to prevent any delays. Please do not write on the outside of the box.


  4.  SMINKS LABS will inspect product upon receipt and respond with an email notifying you of our findings. Notification typically occurs   within 48 hours of receipt.


  5.  If a failure is determined to be due to a manufacturer’s defect, we will repair or replace and return the unit at no charge.


  6.  If a failure was determined to be caused by factors other than a manufacturer’s defect, SMINKS LABS will send you a quote for repair or replacement.  These factors including but not limited to:

  • application of reverse or improper voltage

  • shorting the outputs

  • components worn by use

  • misuse or tampering

  • improper application


We honour the manufacturer's 3 months warranty from the date of despatch, back to base. If you bought our products and changed your mind, we can at our discretion credit you back the value of your purchase less delivery fee and restocking fee. The fee is $25 or 20% of the goods current value, whichever is greater. Please refer to our terms and conditions for full details.
